Last week, our Early Years children kicked off their new ‘Being Healthy’ topic with an exciting visit from the police. The session gave pupils a wonderful opportunity to learn more about how the police help keep people safe in our community.

The children were fascinated as they explored the uniform, equipment, and even had the chance to look inside the police van. They listened brilliantly, asked thoughtful questions, and showed great curiosity throughout the visit.

The experience inspired so much enthusiasm that the children have been busy playing “police” ever since. Their excitement has been so infectious that we decided to transform our new play cabin into a police station, giving them a dedicated space to role‑play, problem‑solve, and continue their learning through imaginative play.

We are so proud of how engaged and eager the children were — a fantastic start to our Being Healthy topic and a memorable visit for everyone involved!
