What an incredible achievement! Our Sacred Heart girls’ football team delivered an outstanding performance at Wembley yesterday, earning the incredible title of National Champions. These amazing girls have shown unwavering determination and belief throughout their journey, never giving up on their dream of reaching Wembley and becoming the best primary school team in the country—and now they have achieved exactly that. We could not be prouder of each and every one of them!

We have also been absolutely blown away by the incredible support from our school and wider community. Thanks to your generosity, we not only reached but smashed our £5,000 fundraising target, helping families attend what has been an unforgettable weekend.

We would like to say a very special thank you to:

  • Our parents/carers, pupils and staff for your constant encouragement and support
  • Local businesses and community members for your generous donations towards travel, accommodation and costs
  • Jayne Evans (Sports Lead) and Gareth Foreman (Coach) for their dedication, commitment and guidance every step of the way
  • Everyone who sent messages of encouragement and well wishes
  • Hartlepool United Community Sports Foundation for travelling to Wembley to support the team

Seeing our community come together in such a powerful and positive way has been truly extraordinary.

This has been a remarkable journey from start to finish—an unforgettable experience that will stay with the girls forever.

Well done girls – we are SO proud of you all!
